Tennessee Titans player Caleb Farley’s father killed in home explosion
Caleb Farley, a famous NFL player, had a very sad thing happen. His dad, Robert Farley, who was 61 years old, died in a big explosion at Caleb's house in North Carolina. This happened on Tuesday. The house was really big and cost a lot of money. The explosion made the house break apart into pieces. The police found Robert Farley's body in the broken pieces of the house. Caleb Farley, who plays football for the Tennessee Titans, wasn't home when the explosion happened. They think the explosion might be because of the natural gas lines, but they don't think someone did it on purpose.
There was another person at the house too, a friend named Christian Rogers. He's 25 years old. He got hurt but not too badly, and he went to the hospital. The house was near a lake, and it was big – about 6,300 square feet. The explosion made everything go away, even the cars outside the house.
Caleb Farley came to the place where the explosion happened. He talked to the police. People who live nearby said they smelled gas and then heard a really loud boom in the middle of the night.
Caleb Farley grew up close to the place where the explosion happened. He went to play football at a college called Virginia Tech, and later he became a professional player for the Tennessee Titans. The coach of the Titans, Mike Vrabel, gathered all the players together to pray for Caleb and his family. They all kneeled down to show they were thinking about them.
Caleb Farley went through a lot before. In 2018, he lost his mom to a sickness called breast cancer. His friend Kevin Byard said Caleb had to deal with many hard things in his life. The explosion is really sad and something that's really hard to believe.
