NFL week one review & results: Packers win without Aaron Rodgers, Eagles spoil Tom Brady's Patriots return

The Green Bay Packers played their first game without Aaron Rodgers and won impressively, beating the Chicago Bears 38-20 on the first Sunday of the new NFL season.

Meanwhile, Tom Brady's return to the New England Patriots was spoiled by the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Dallas Cowboys had a big 40-0 win against the New York Giants.

The San Francisco 49ers showed their strength by dominating the Pittsburgh Steelers with a score of 30-7. The Miami Dolphins had an exciting game against the Los Angeles Chargers, winning 36-34.

Joe Burrow, who recently signed a huge contract, had a tough game as the Cincinnati Bengals lost 24-3 to the Cleveland Browns. But Burrow remains positive about the season ahead.

Three rookie quarterbacks started their NFL careers but all faced defeats. Bryce Young of the Carolina Panthers, CJ Stroud of the Houston Texans, and Anthony Richardson of the Indianapolis Colts showed potential despite their losses.

In other NFL games, the Los Angeles Rams surprised the Seattle Seahawks with a 30-13 win, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Minnesota Vikings 20-17 on the road, and the New Orleans Saints narrowly defeated the Tennessee Titans 16-15.

The Washington Commanders won their first game under new ownership, defeating the Arizona Cardinals 20-16, and the Las Vegas Raiders secured a close 17-16 victory over the Denver Broncos.
