Jeezy Files for Divorce from Jeannie Mai Jenkins After 2 Years of Marriage

Jeezy and Jeannie Mai Jenkins are splitting up.

'The Real' host and her rapper husband were married in 2021, and share daughter Monaco, 20 months.

The rapper, who is 45 years old, has asked for a divorce from Jeannie Mai Jenkins, who is 44 years old. They were married for two and a half years, and they had a legal agreement in place before they got married.

In the papers Jeezy filed, he said that they are currently living apart, and their marriage is broken beyond repair. They won't be getting back together. Jeezy also wants to share legal custody of their daughter.

Nobody from their side has said anything about it yet. The news was first reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Jenkins and Jeezy got married in March 2021 at their house in Atlanta. They had a daughter named Monaco in January 2022.

On their second anniversary in March, Jeannie Mai Jenkins surprised Jeezy with a trip to Vietnam. They both loved exploring each other's cultures. They planned to get engaged in Vietnam in April 2020, but that couldn't happen due to COVID-19.

They first met when Jenkins was hosting a talk show called "The Real." They started dating quietly in November 2018 and went public with their relationship in August 2019.

Jenkins once dedicated a dance to Jeezy on the TV show "Dancing With the Stars." The dance was set to the song "Married Life" from the movie "Up." She said "Up" was a special movie for them because she played it for Jeezy while they were dating.

Jenkins talked about married life in 2021, saying it felt very different from dating but in a good way. She said they both came from homes where they didn't see healthy marriages, so they were extra careful with their relationship.

Jenkins also spoke openly about her challenges as a new mom, including difficulties with breastfeeding and postpartum anxiety.
